We have completed the beautiful Home for Life bathroom for Terri and Tom and it’s gorgeous! Terri and Tom assumed that an accessible bathroom would have to look sterile and hospital-like. They were thrilled when they found out that our Home for Life division provides accessible solutions that are not only functional, but beautiful!
If you are not familiar with our Home for Life division, here is a brief description: Adapting homes for a lifetime! As Wichita’s only healthcare professional and remodeling team, Home for Life offers solutions for those of any age or ability who choose to remain in their homes for a lifetime. Our Lead Carpenter, Josh tore out all the fixtures and flooring to prepare for the installation of an Onyx low profile shower pan. We went a step further and changed up some of the framing in the floor to make the shower pan profile as close to a zero clearance as possible. Terri and Tom picked out a smaller pedestal sink to open up a large amount of floor space and an ADA height toilet with an optional bidet seat. Talk about luxury! We added a 36″ wide pocket door as well as a 36″ wide set of double doors that lead into the master bedroom and can accommodate a ceiling rail lift system. This allows ample space for a wheelchair to pass through. Terri and Tom chose some beautiful decor items such as light fixtures, bathroom accessories and paint colors. We finished the floor with new ceramic tile and chrome hardware.
Congrats on your new bathroom Terri and Tom! Welcome to the Heartland family!
